On March 7, CMC President Hiram Chodosh announced his intention to leave his post at the end of the 2025-2026 academic year. In an email, Chodosh wrote, “Responsible leadership means knowing when to finish the story. As hard as it is to move on from the most rewarding phase in my professional life, the timing feels right.”

In his 13 years as President, Chodosh initiated major changes at CMC. The email lists the Open Academy, the Kravis Department of Integrated Sciences, the Campaign for CMC: Responsible Leadership, the CARE Center, the Soll Center for Student Opportunity, and CMC’s campus expansion as some of his most significant achievements.

President Chodosh’s wife, Priya Junnar, will also depart as Director of the Athenaeum. She held the position for over 10 years.

Chodosh noted that his “next chapter” will include “writing, teaching, and contributions to resolving national and global challenges in education, law, and civic leadership in the nonprofit, philanthropic, and public sectors.”

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information emerges.
